Alasdair Beatson

Alasdair Beatson is a Scottish pianist. He started piano lessons with Claire Gallagher in Perth, and afterwards signed up for the Aberdeen Town Music College. He went to the Royal University of Music, where he examined with John Blakely, and continuing his post-graduate research at Indiana School, where he caused Menahem Pressler. He gained the Producing Music Prize for Teen Concert Performers, and received the next prize on the China Shanghai International Piano Competition. Being a concerto soloist, Beatson provides performed using the Britten Sinfonia, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra, the Royal Scottish Country wide Orchestra, the Scottish Outfit, the Moscow Virtuosi, the Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester, as well as the Tapiola Sinfonietta. A keen chamber musician, Beatson provides made an appearance with Adrian Brendel, Pieter Wispelwey, Pekka Kuusisto, Philippe Graffin, Alexander Melnikov, the Doric String Quartet, Meta4, as well as the Nash Outfit. He provides collaborated with many composers, including George Benjamin, Harrison Birtwistle, Heinz Holliger, and Helena Winkelman. Beatson shows summer courses and provides master classes on the Guildhall College of Music and Play, the Royal Welsh University of Music and Play, as well as the Birmingham Conservatoire at Birmingham Town University. Beatson may be the founder and creative movie director of Musique ? Marsac, a French chamber music celebration. He provides documented for Somm, Champs Hill Information, Claves, and BIS.
