Alan Turnbull

b. Alan Lawrence Turnbull, 23 November 1943, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Turnbull started playing drums as a kid and was functioning skillfully while still in his early teenagers. Through the 60s he used many of Australia’s leading jazz music artists, including Don Burrows, with whom he continuing to try out during succeeding years making performances at celebrations in European countries and the united states. Turnbull is an experienced bop mainstreamer and it is in very much demand as an accompanist to jazz superstars, including Milt Jackson, Phil Woods and George Wires.
