Alan Pasqua

Keyboardist Alan Pasqua’s gritty body organ riffs and synth textures could be heard on strikes by Eddie Cash and Large. He’s done edges with Bob Dylan (Live at Budokan and Road Legal), Carlos Santana (Zebop and Marathon), Rick Springfield, Pat Benatar, Sammy Hagar, and Whitesnake. Pasqua’s musical root base operate throughout his family members tree. We were young in NJ, Pasqua took traditional piano lessons as a kid. During his teenagers, he started playing in rock and roll and jazz rings. When he graduated from senior high school, Pasqua went to Indiana University. Through the early ’70s, he continuing his music research with pianist Jaki Byard at Boston’s New Britain Conservatory of Music. Pasqua’s roommate, drummer Peter Erskine provided him an opportunity to stand set for an ailing Stan Kenton on a brief tour. This is accompanied by a stint with another jazz tale Joe Williams who mentored the youthful musician. Pasqua’s trainer, George Russell, suggested him to get a recording time for jazz drummer great Tony Williams. Following a New York efficiency at Carnegie Hall, Williams asked Pasqua to become listed on his music group Tony Williams’ Life time whose lineup included guitarist Alan Holdsworth and bassist Tony Newton. Pasqua’s documenting debut was the quartet’s Believe It LP. Deciding on the more profitable genres of rock and roll & move, Pasqua shifted to LA where he was reunited with Tony Williams’ manufacturer Bruce Botnick whose various other credits are the Doorways. Botnick, an employee manufacturer at CBS Information, called Pasqua to accomplish a program with a fresh artist called Eddie Money. Cash began to possess strikes with “Two Seat tickets to Heaven,” “Baby Retain Me.” Pasqua caused the singer within the studio room and on the highway. Getting an in-demand program musician, Pasqua could be heard for the film soundtracks of THE COLOUR Purple, Fatal Appeal, An Officer along with a Gentleman; the record Russian Peasant premiered in 2000. The Music of Eric Von Essen, Vol. 1, which highlighted Pasqua, Alan Broadbent, Alex Cline, Nels Cline and Peter Erskine made an appearance that same season, accompanied by a flurry of single outings, including Body and Spirit (2004), New Aged Friend (2005), Anti Public Membership (2007), and Twin Costs: Two Piano Music of Costs Evans (2011).
