Alaina Alexander spent a long time struggling while an aspiring professional vocalist before she became a finalist in age 24 within the sixth time of year of American Idol in 2007. A indigenous of Western Hollywood, CA, Alexander have been going after a singing profession for six years — for a while she sang in an organization boasting the totally fantastic name Foxi Nova — and made the decision that her American Idol audition will be her last shot in the big style; if she didn’t make it through the audition, she’d go to university. It was not really well-received — Simon threw back again the song’s chorus of “I’m unique” to Alaina, declaring that she didn’t appear special predicated on the overall performance — but she garnered plenty of votes to remain on the display another week. In the next week, she sang the Dixie Chicks’ “Not really Prepared to Make Fine.” Once again, the functionality had not been judged well by Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson, which period Alexander was removed from your competition.
