Al Henderson

Active about the Toronto jazz picture because the mid 1970s, bassist Al Henderson offers recieved significant amounts of interest for his adventurous composing design. His compositions have already been recorded by Period Warp (an organization he co-leads with drummer Barry Elmes), Alex Dean, Don Pullen, and Jane Bunnett. Henderson recieved the 1995 Socan Honor for Initial Jazz Structure, and in exactly the same 12 months was named Author of the entire year by Jazz Statement magazine. Like a bassist, Henderson spent some time working with Arnett Cobb, Slim Gaillard, Eddie ‘Cleanhead’ Vinson, and Jane Bunnett, amongst several others.
