Many longtime members of K-Paz de la Sierra still left the chart-topping duranguense group in 2007 to create a successful band of their very own, AK-7. Gerardo Memoryírez (keyboards), Rafael Solís (keyboards), Oscar Ledesma (keyboards), Armando J. Rodríguez (tambourine), Carmelo Gamboa (drums), and Luis Vidales (electrical tuba) had been originally associates of K-Paz de la Sierra, which from 2004 enjoyed remarkable achievement in Mexico and america, topping Billboard’s Best Latin Albums graph frequently.
