Ajattara

Ajattara can be an ambient dark metal side task for Amorphis vocalist Pasi Koskinen, who have here goes on the murky pseudonym of Ruoja and grips vocals, guitars, and keyboards. Begun in 1996 to take up his free time (which, evidently, there wasn’t very much), Ajattara just got around to documenting their debut record, Itse, in 2001, of which period the trio was curved out by bassist Atoni and drummer Malakias. Like its forerunner, 2003’s sophomore Kuolema premiered with the Spinefarm label, as soon as once again boasted intense but atmospheric dark metal sung completely in Finnish.
