AJ Davila

Best-known as the bassist and lead singer with Puerto Rican garage rockers Davila 666, AJ Davila stepped away as a single artist in 2014 along with his debut album, the challenging, rollicking, and stylistically wide Terror Amor. Pursuing extensive worldwide touring to get Davila 666’s 2011 record Tan Bajo, the group continued hiatus, and in Oct 2012 Davila started focus on his single project. Recording a lot of the materials in his house studio room (where he also slice a lot of Davila 666’s produces), Terror Amor discovered him growing his limitations from straightforward garage area punk into music inspired by traditional R&B, woman group sounds, modern pop, and classic glam rock. Offering collaborations with Cole Alexander from the Dark Lip area, Sergio Rotman of Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Alex Anwandter of Teleradio Donoso, Fofé Abreu of Circo, and Davila 666 bandmate Johnny Otis Davila, Terror Amor premiered in Feb 2014 through Nacional Information. A second recording, Beibi, followed later on the same 12 months on Burger Information.
