Airborne

This US AOR band released an individual album in 1979 prior to going their separate ways, even though some members found commercial success elsewhere. Composed of Larry Stewart (vocals, electric guitar, keyboards), Mike Baird (drums), Beau Hill (vocals, electric guitar, keyboards), David Zychek (vocals, electric guitar) and John Pierce (vocals, bass), the record remains among the better types of past due 70s American AOR. Despite an highlight on radio-friendly hooks in famous brands ‘No Exception TOWARDS THE Guideline’ and ‘Wastin’ My Period’, the pristine vocal harmonies that epitomize the genre and an extremely polished creation from DeVore and Olsen, the record was, perhaps amazingly, a failure no second record was forthcoming. Hill became a member of Shanghai before acquiring his métier being a manufacturer (especially with Ratt), and Baird continued to get among AOR’s most sought-after program drummers, savoring stints with Truck Stephenson, Large and Journey.
