Airbird may be the single moniker of Joel Ford, a Brooklyn-based indie electronic musician known for many collaborative tasks, including Tigercity, Video games/Ford & Lopatin (with Oneohtrix Stage Never’s Daniel Lopatin), and Ejecta/Teen Ejecta. His are Airbird drifts between dreamy, gleaming downtempo synth-pop and ecstatic, neon dance beats (occasionally through the same melody), with complete creation flourishes and his very own electronically manipulated falsetto vocals. Airbird debuted in 2011 using the release of the divide cassette with Megafortress, aswell as the “Town vs. Mountains” 12″ one on Software program (Daniel Lopatin’s label). This is implemented in 2012 with the Trust EP, also on Software program. Following these produces, Airbird remixed Stainless Canyon and Korallreven in 2013, and started dealing with Napolian (Ian Evans), an experimental hip-hop manufacturer signed to Software program. Both debuted using a collaborative one (“In the Area”) in 2013, and a full-length record (Mr. Foolish) appeared on Cascine in 2015.
