Ahmet Adnan Saygun

After a limited period as an elementary and senior high school music teacher, Saygun won a contest sponsored from the Ministry of Education which enabled him to visit Paris to review music in 1928. He came back to Turkey in 1931 and resumed teaching. He was pressured to resign from a post as conductor from the Ankara Presidential SO due to hearing failure. A posture as an inspector of Halkevis or social institutions resulted in his study into Turkish folk music, collaborating with Bartók. This gained him a status as a respected specialist on folklore. He’s referred to as a significant number in the Turkish Five and likes a rich innovative life furthermore to his achievements in study. His compositions certainly are a combination of Passionate and Impressionist designs, with later functions that employ newer methods. The oratorio =Yunus Emre= brought his function to the interest of the globe.
