After receiving his training from Gustavo Sosa Escalada, Barrios still left Paraguay for just one week of concerts in Argentina. He was therefore effective that he toured for 14 years. In 1934 he visited Europe to execute, becoming the 1st Latin-American guitarist of stature to take action. His performances have already been in comparison to Segovia for his or her interpretation also to Paganini for his or her virtuosity. Barrios made up over 100 functions, a lot of which he related to obscure early composers in the wish that this allows them to become regarded seriously. A few of his items are actually in the repertory (=Danza paraguaya= and =Un catedral=) and so many more will be, if not really for his carelessness in posting them. He was the 1st classical guitarist to produce a gramophone recording.
