Afterglow

An obscure psychedelic band located in Oregon, Afterglow released only 1 album in 1968 just before vanishing. Afterglow’s lone, eponymous discharge was type of such as a sampler of American psychedelic designs, featuring tracks that recalled not merely the Doorways and Jefferson Aircraft, but also the Byrds, Donovan and trippy garage-psychedelic rings just like the Strawberry NOISY ALARMS. Led by guitarist/vocalist Tony Tecumseh, the group shaped in August of 1965 when Tecumseh was persuaded by a pal to get hold of drummer Larry Alexander and a bassist called Mike. The trio, dubbed the Madallions, shortly added vocalist Gene Resler as well as the music group played several displays, usually at an area pizza parlor, before they proceeded to go their separate methods to go to university. They re-formed in 1966, adding brand-new bassist Ron George and keyboardist Roger Swanson. That fall, they started recording with manufacturer Leo Lukla at his Golden Condition Recorders studio room, but because of their studies, these were unable to full an record until past due 1967; the ensuing eponymous record made an appearance early the next season on MTA Details. Afterglow was disregarded at that time as well as the group split up quickly afterward, however the record became a preferred of psychedelic enthusiasts and was reissued by Sundazed Information in 1995.
