African Fiesta National

The two-guitar front type of Tabu Ley Rochereau (born in 1940) and Dr. Nico Kasanda (1938-1985) raised African Fiesta towards the forefront of Congolese dance music through the ’60s. Although just together for just two years, the group’s impact is still becoming felt. Shaped in 1963, African Fiesta displayed the eyesight of Rochereau, who got spent the prior four years using the leading Congolese music group African Jazz. The strain between Rochereau and Kasanda resulted in a divided in 1965 with Rochereau renaming the music group African Fiesta Country wide and Kasanda developing African Fiesta Sukisa. Following a break up, Rochereau and African Fiesta Country wide continuing to dominate the Congo’s musical picture. By 1970, their information routinely bought from the thousands. African Fiesta Nationwide served like a mating floor for such long term African music celebrities as vocalist Sam Mangwana, who performed using the group between 1968 and 1970.
