There was no composition of Jensen’s that stood out. Most of his functions for piano demonstrate one of the most delicate character and empathy for the intimate heart through a synthesis of early Schumann, Chopin and Liszt. Jensen preserved close and well-intended friendships with Christian Kellermann (the cellist with whom he toured Scandinavia in concert), Gade, Hartmann, Bulow, Brahms, Berlioz among others. He devoted various functions to these fellow music artists aswell as others. Though he was suffering from a constant neck and lung disorder within the last fifteen many years of his existence, he continued to execute for a brief period and compose aswell. He was instrumental in forging the efficiency of Wagner’s “Die Meistersinger” in Dresden and got offered during his early years like a Kapellmeister in Posen, Bromberg, and Copenhagen. Jensen got the profound capability to translate expressive moods and human being feelings into musical lyricism especially in tracks and ballads. He didn’t have a skill for the bigger types of music and had not been able to maintain such romantic characteristics in choral functions and orchestras.
