Ad Libitum

The recorder is among the world’s oldest wind instruments. Its acoustic system had been known from the cave dwellers. The instrument’s extended tradition continues to be researched and maintained by Advertisement Libitum, a Brazilian quintet offering soprano, treble, tenor and bass recorders, in addition to piano, acoustic guitar, flute and percussion. Advertisement Libitum was conceived by Universidade Estadual perform Ceare graduates Angelita Ribeiro, who takes on recorder and acoustic guitar, Cecilia perform Valle, who takes on piano, and Rainer Beckmann, a German-born graduate from the Hogeschool voor De Kunsten Conservatory in Utrecht, Netherlands, who takes on recorder. Ribeiro and Beckmann serve because the ensemble’s music directors. Advertisement Libitum is curved out by Cristiane Ramalho, a previous college student of Ribeiro, and Jaderson Teixeira, a previous student of perform Valle who takes on recorder and percussion.
