Kerry Livgren (b. 18 Sept 1949, Kansas, USA; acoustic guitar, vocals) wasted short amount of time after departing Kansas before getting into a single career and piecing together Advertisement. Alongside Michael Gleason (vocals, keyboards), Dave Wish (bass) and Dennis Holt (drums), Livgren utilized the system to peddle his new-found Christian values (which have been one factor in the dissolution of Kansas). Though his single releases also continuing, Livgren proved even more prolific as the best light behind this group, who documented inside a smooth rock and roll/AOR vein. A lot of the interest with this result, however, which frequently ventured into Yes /orchestral rock and roll place, was from recalcitrant previous Kansas followers. That constituency could have been very happy to see the addition of ‘Family portrait’ (attracted from Stage Of Know Come back, Kansas’ 1977 record) on Reconstructions. That record also noticed the launch of vocalist Warren Ham. Advertisement shouldn’t be confused using the 90s rap/rock and roll group of identical name.
