Following the original line-up of Propaganda disbanded, German vocalist Claudia Brücken (b. 7 Dec 1963, Berchenz, Germany) became a member of the consumer electronics composer and vocalist Thomas Leer to create Act. Residing at Trevor Horn’s ZTT Information label, the set’s first solitary, ‘Snobbery & Decay’, exposed their continuing experimentation within the studio room, and they made an appearance within the BBC Tv science program Tomorrow’s World talking about songs technology. ‘Totally Immune’ adopted in Sept 1987 (and also a remix, ‘Unquestionably Immune system II’). In March I988, Action released ‘I Can’t Get away From You’, supported by way of a bizarre reworking from the Smiths’ ‘Heaven Has learned I’m Miserable Today’, before unleashing their just record, Laughter, Tears And Trend, in June. Like their singles, this mixed a range of studio room wizardry with beautifully crafted music. Brücken continued to record a single album, Like: AS WELL AS A Million OTHER ACTIVITIES.
