Acoustic Ladyland

The London-based Acoustic Ladyland formed in 2001 and released Camouflage in 2004, a primarily acoustic assortment of jazz reworkings of Jimi Hendrix covers. Led by vocalist/saxophonist/arranger Pete Wareham (Polar Keep), the music group eventually strayed through the classic rock and roll trappings of its moniker with the next year’s Last Possibility Disco, a assortment of originals that discovered the group breaking clear of the greater traditional areas of the genre, producing a BBC Jazz Award for Greatest Music group of 2005.
