The Acoustic Jazz Trio, a variation around the pianoless units championed by Sonny Rollins, recorded for Jewel in 1980. Besides tenor saxophonist Paul Plummer, bassist Lou Lausche and drummer Ron Enyard had been the other users. Their music was neither exciting nor disastrous, just solid variations of oft-performed requirements like “Willow Weep for me personally” and “It Don’t Mean something.”
