Better remembered for his or her name than for his or her music, the Acme Sewage Co. was shaped in Kettering, Britain, in early 1977 by vocalist/guitarist Ozzy, bassist Peter Barber, and drummer Simon Sewage — the boy, incidentally, of avant-rock tale Lol Coxhill. They gigged a whole lot through the entire year, including many shows on the renowned Roxy — these were among the contributors towards the venue’s Farewell towards the Roxy record in 1978, and in addition arrived a brace of monitors on the Fresh label’s Fresh Offer compilation. The music group split up in 1978.
