Academy

This UK rock quartet comprised Richard Cobby (guitar), Damon J. Hardy (vocals), Polly Perkins (b. Britain; vocals) and Dick Walter (flute). Produced in the past due 60s, the music group’s audio was dominated with the dual man/feminine vocals of Hardy and Perkins, with Walter’s woodwind contribution assisting to establish a distinct sound that obviously incorporated components of intensifying, folk and jazz rock and roll. In 1969 the music group released its singular album, Pop-Lore BASED ON THE Academy, as well as the solitary ‘Rachel’s Fantasy’/‘Munching The Chocolate’. Neither guaranteed any mainstream curiosity, nevertheless, and by the first 70s the quartet got disbanded. (NB: Never to become puzzled with the 00s indie rock-band of the same name.)
