Abe Laboriel, Jr.

A highly popular program drummer, Abe Laboriel, Jr. may be the boy of veteran bassist Abraham Laboriel, Sr. and was raised encircled by music. He was playing drums by age four, and researched with many high-profile drummers, including Jeff Porcaro, Chester Thompson, Costs Maxwell, and Alex Acuña, who got formed the music group Koinonia with Laboriel, Sr. within the 1980s. He also analyzed with Peter Donald in the Dick Grove College of Music during his junior 12 months in senior high school, and in 1989 actually drew a citation in Down Defeat publication. After graduating from senior high school, Laboriel instantly signed up for the Berklee University of Music, graduating from there in 1993. His 1st big touring gig was with guitarist Steve Vai. Following a following tour with Seal, Laboriel captured the eye and ears of record suppliers, and was quickly getting known as to countless documenting classes, and he continuing as an in-demand touring drummer, focusing on trips with k.d. lang and Sting. He also started dealing with Paul McCartney, and his program list grew to add Robi Draco Rosa, Crystal Lewis, B.B. Ruler, Eric Clapton, Les Paul, Ashlee Simpson, LeAnn Rimes, Mylène Farmer, Characters to Cleo, Kelly Clarkson, and many more. He also made an appearance, alongside Lewis, around the ’90s Nickelodeon tv series Roundhouse. Furthermore to his touring and program duties, Laboriel performed in the energy trio the Raging Honkies and was mixed up in collective referred to as Chocolates Genius, Inc.
