Abdul T-Jay

After departing Mwana Musa’s African Connexion in 1986, this London-based guitarist formed his own band, African Tradition, dedicated to discovering the rootsier music of his home culture. He also performed some soca and soukous-influenced materials during session function for maker Aki Dean. In the past due ’80s, he experimented inside the milo jazz and palmwine customs while creating a live status around the U.K.’s African circuit.
