Abdoulaye Diabaté

The original West African sounds of balofon and ngoni are coupled with keyboards and education by Mali-born vocalist and drummer Abdoulaye Diabate. While rooted in the Bombara noises of such Wassolou performers as Oumou Sangare, Diabate is well known for the incredibly raw noises of his vocals. Diabate started performing and playing drums at tribal festivities at an extremely early age group. He sharpened his functionality skills as an associate of varied musical movie theater troupes. In 1976, Diabate became a member of the Orchestre Regionale de Segou. His widest early publicity emerged as the lead vocalist of Koule Superstar from Koutalia and Kene Superstar from Sikasso.
