Abdel Aziz el Mubarak

Abdel Aziz was almost fated to become performer: the kid of a music family members who lived within an region noted because of its music (Medani), he got an early on start the ladder of popularity, seeing that an angel-voiced college boy. He started performing for Sudanese radio in the first ’70s and in 1975 appreciated his initial big strike with “Laih Ya Galbi Laih” (Why, My Center, Why?). Abdel Aziz has oud and sings, as perform many Sudanese music artists, but he’s not constricted by regional sounds, happily mixing traditional and Traditional western musical forms. He toured Britain in 1987-1988 to great acclaim.
