A Weather’s warm, intimate folk-pop first took form during 2006’s holidays, when vocalists Aaron Gerber and Sarah Winchester made a decision to embellish their harmony-driven music with help from guitarist Zach Boyle, bassist Louis Thomas, and second guitarist Aaron Krenkel. Merging swells of audio with sparse, understated passages, the Portland-based music group quickly agreed upon with Team Like Information (co-owned by Conor Oberst and Nate Krenkel, Aaron’s sibling) and released Feather Check in the springtime of 2007. Following the success of this 7″ record, the quintet came back in 2008 using its debut LP, Cove, and released the sophomore recording Everyday Balloons 2 yrs later.
