A Skillz

Adam Mills, aka A Skillz, is a breaks DJ and manufacturer through the U.K. that has spun at celebrations and festivals throughout the world. Over the years, he provides mixed funk and spirit — the backbone of old-school and fantastic age group rap, his major inspirations — with flashes of drum’n’bass and dubstep. His initial release of take note was a cooperation using the like-minded Krafty Kuts; in 2002, they released the freewheeling 12” “Tricka Technology” (offering Zulu Nation’s T.C. Izlam), and followed it another season with an record from the same name. For another many years, Mills proved helpful predominantly using the 12” structure, including over ten produces in the bootleg-oriented Insane Bangers series. He also blended Freshtraxxx, a compilation of produces through the Finger Lickin’ label that highlighted his function beside Krafty Kuts, in adition to that of Plump DJs, Spirit of Man, Drumattic Twins, and Slyde.
