A Race of Angels

A Competition of Angels may be the major outlet for Yeofi Andoh, a somewhat enigmatic synthesist of spirit, jazz, and folk. Originally from rural Britain, the multi-instrumentalist discovered guitar initial and performed in regional punk bands. Through the early ’90s, he shifted to the U.S., originally to NY, and to California. He was agreed upon as a single artist to main label Atlantic, however, many executive-level upheaval resulted in the shelving of his Required Madness — that he was defined as basically Yeofi — ahead of its designed 1996 release time. Andoh worked being a style photographer, continued to collaborate with famous brands Dorado act Outdoors and vocalist Lizz Areas, and eventually produced his first movements as a Competition of Angels. Broadcast No. 1 (2005) started a sporadic group of short-form produces and compilation performances highlighted with the yearning soul-jazz ballad “Simply Start,” included on From L.A. with Appreciate (2007). After an extended amount of silence, a three-track EP entitled Before the Initial Goodbye (2016) surfaced being a teaser for correct debut record Pointless, ready for discharge on the new Selects label.
