Sacramento, California-based post-hardcore act NEARLY THE SAME AS Wild birds were formed in later 2009 by guitarist/composer Michael Franzino. Franzino collected together a bunch of area music artists to become listed on him in filling in his frenetic, genre-jumping compositions, which would consider converts from screamo breakdowns to ambient atmospheres without notice. Debut recording Plan B found its way to 2010, having a sponsor of guest music artists and accompanists. By the beginning of 2011, a good lineup was set up, offering dual vocalists Kurt Travis and Cory Lockwood, bassist Michael Littlefield, drummer Joe Arrington, and guitarist Ben Wiacek becoming a member of Franzino on his progressively ambitious productions. Second recording Conversation Piece premiered in past due 2011, and NEARLY THE SAME AS Parrots toured for a lot of the next 12 months, signing with Equivalent Vision Records release a their third recording, No Place, by the end of 2013. The lineup reshuffled over another couple of years, with bassist Littlefield changed by newcomer Matt Coate, who also required over vocal responsibilities from departing vocalist Travis. In the mean time, Franzino released an recording with his part project only. in 2015. 2 yrs later, in-may 2017, NEARLY THE SAME AS Birds came back with DIVISI, their 4th full-length and 1st to feature the vocal pairing of Coate and reformed screamer Lockwood, who started employed in a cleaner performing style.
