Lync

Olympia, Washington-based emo-punks Lync comprised singer/guitarist Sam Jayne, bassist Wayne Bertram and drummer Dave Schneider. Created in 1992, the trio quickly debuted around the Magic Pail label using the solitary “Pigeons”; their next work, “Two Feet in the front,” made an appearance on K within the label’s International Pop Underground series. K also released Lync’s 1st and last full-length, THEY ARE Not Fall Colours; immediately after the album’s 1994 launch, the band break up. (The posthumous singles retrospective Keeping in mind the Fireballs [Component 8] adopted in 1997.) Jayne resurfaced in 1996 using the single project Like as Laughter, debuting using the recording The Greks Bring Presents; for 1997’s #1 U.S.A., acknowledged to just L.A.L., he reunited with fellow Lync alum Schneider, rounding away the lineup with bassist Jessica Espeleta.
