Barney Rachabane

Barney Rachabane was mostly of the musicians to stay active through the decrease of South African jazz, in the 1970s and ’80s. Furthermore to leading his personal group, Rachabane collaborated on some Technobush recordings with Hugh Masakela and documented and toured with Paul Simon. Rachabane continues to be in the forefront of South African jazz because the 1960s when he performed in a number of rings with drummer Early Mabuza and documented with jazz pianist Abdullah Ibrahim.
