Glass Harp

Among the initial Christian-themed pop/rock and roll acts, Cup Harp included vocalist/guitarist Phil Keaggy, bassist Dan Pecchio, and drummer John Sferra. Created in 1969 in Youngstown, OH, the group — a free-form power trio within the custom of Cream, the Jimi Hendrix Encounter, and fellow Buckeyes the Wayne Gang — quickly created a strong regional pursuing, and in 1970 they authorized to Decca to concern their self-titled debut LP. Synergy adopted a year later on, but after 1972’s IT CREATES Me Glad Cup Harp disbanded; Keaggy continued to enjoy significant success being a CCM single action, while Pecchio afterwards co-founded the Michael Stanley Music group. Glass Harp’s first lineup came jointly for the reunion concert in 1988.
