Although most widely known for their later-’90s contemporary rock one “Little Dark Backpack,” Stroke 9 formed one decade prior within the SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA Bay Region. While finishing senior high school in 1989, vocalist/guitarist Luke Esterkyn and bassist Greg Gueldner opted to create a music group for extra credit.
