Remy Shand

Remy Shand emerged to the neo-soul circuit in 2002 with JUST HOW PERSONALLY I THINK, a potent cannon of tunes inspired by vintage Motown and Memphis spirit. Mainly home-schooled in his indigenous Vancouver, Shand started raiding his parents record collection young — bathing in an array of jazz, spirit, and R&B, with Marvin Gaye’s traditional Right here, My Dear using a serious impact on his musical path. Dropping from high school to review and go after music full-time, Shand performed as a program musician and was an associate of varied experimental organizations until he made a decision to concentrate a solo profession. In 1998, he started to create and record the tunes that would later on become The Method I Feel. 3 years later on he was authorized to Motown Information and the recording noticed the light of day time in early 2002. The record fulfilled crucial and underground achievement and received four Grammy nominations, including one for greatest R&B album.
