Playeros

Latin rock-band shaped in 1986 in Miami, FL, by percussionist Joedy Pauley, guitarist Scott Sherman, guitarist Carlos Fernández, saxophonist Richard Jay, bassist Al Western, and drummer Martín Gallardo. Influenced by acts such as for example Santana, War, as well as the Allman Brothers, Playeros produced an interesting mix of different designs where Traditional western American rock and roll, funk, and Afro-Cuban rhythms are predominant. That fusion was obvious while documenting the recording Funky Jazzy Latin ROCK-BAND, which was accompanied by 1999’s Los Nietos de Miami.
