Cypress Hill’s Sen Pet took take note of his previous music group to create the hip-hop rawness of SX-10. Made up of guitarists Jeremy Fleener and Andy Zambrano, bassist Frank Mercurio, and drummer Glen Sobel, SX-10 was Sen Dog’s harmful wall socket for creating music. He needed wide-open funk incoporated with old-school rhymes and Latin tinges, and that is the mildew behind SX-10. Their debut Goin’ Crazy premiered on Elektra in 1999 and Mad Pet American followed per year down the road Cleopatra.
