Garry Stevens

b. 21 Oct 1916, LA, California, USA. A fantastic band singer through the 40s, early in his profession Stevens worked like a trumpeter-vocalist with numerous bands on the united states east coastline, and spent a while with combos led by Paul Kain and Don Bestor. In the past due 30s he became an employee musician-singer on radio in Washington, DC, before becoming a member of Charlie Spivak’s clothing as vocalist in past due 1941. He remained with Spivak until 1943, and sang on many of his strike information, including ‘This IS NOT ANY Laughing Matter’, ‘My Devotion’, ‘I Remaining My Heart IN THE Stage Door Canteen’ and ‘White Xmas’.
