Merging contemporary urban sensibilities with the original gospel quartet appear, 7 Sons of Soul provide a relaxing twist towards the gospel genre. The group was shaped in Washington, D.C., after performers Cliff Jones and Deonte Grey had completed saving a music, “OPERATE ON,” within the studio room and, happy with the outcomes, made a decision to officially assemble an organization and complete a complete recording. Jones and Grey drafted vocalist Dave “DaveyBoy” Lindsey alongside drummer Paul “Buggy” Edwards, keyboardist Sam Kendrick, and bassist Nathaniel Areas, and 7 Sons of Spirit were created. Lindsey finished up creating and writing the majority of the materials recorded, as well as the eventual result was a 14-monitor recording of gospel, which range from traditional to contemporary, and although the group veered sometimes to a right R&B sound, nothing at all secular in character was attempted.
