52 Pickup

Hailing from Virginia, 52 Pickup easily fit into neatly with such fellow late ’90s rockabilly revivalists as Reverend Horton Warmth and Amazing Royal Crowns. Including simply two guitars and an upright bass (led by founding member Brian McGuire), the music group also contains components of nation and R&B — producing a stage display that’s become popular for it’s outrageous energy. Dec 2000 saw the discharge from the band’s debut documenting, Saturday Wealthy and Weekend Poor, within the self-employed Tomahawk label.
