Hailing in the tiny Finnish community of Utajarvi, 22-Pistepirkko surfaced from just beyond the Arctic Group in 1982, earning Band of the entire year honors within their local land for a set of EPs like the acclaimed Piano, Rumpu & Kukka. Using the discharge of 1987’s Kings of Hong Kong, the trio — brothers PK (vocals, electric guitar) and Asko Keranen (synthesizer), and Espe Haverinen (drums) — started recording in British; the bluesy Bare Bone Nest implemented two years afterwards, and with 1992’s Big Lupu 22-Pistepirkko started gaining their first notice beyond Scandinavia. After 1994’s Rumble Town, LaLa Property, the group resurfaced 2 yrs afterwards with Zipcode, a assortment of remixes; Eleven implemented in 1998.
