1994 was an organization formed by throaty singer Karen Lawrence in 1978, after she left the L.A. Jets. The same yr, Lawrence made up “Prisoner (Like Theme Through the ‘Eye of Laura Mars’),” immortalized by Barbra Streisand. Lawrence also supported Aerosmith on Pull the Series. Guitarist Brad Whitford tagged along for 1994’s self-titled inaugural, assisting from one monitor, “Heleana.” Acclaimed Aerosmith manufacturer Jack port Douglas was also in tow. He helmed the complete debut, aswell as the 1979 follow-up, Make sure you THE STAND BY POSITION. Lawrence continued to dabble in brand-new influx as Karen Lawrence as well as the Pinz, and supported Graham Parker. Douglas also created Lawrence’s ’90s music group, Blue NATURALLY, including Rick DuFray, another (albeit momentarily) Aerosmith axeman.
