With very much influence through the ’60s garage rock and roll of 13th Ground Elevators, the raw, barroom indie rock and roll of 1986 is manufactured by Giorgio Angelini (vocals, guitar), Cully Symington (drums), and Drew Pennebaker (bass). Angelini, who was simply the drummer for indie pop music group the Rosebuds, fulfilled Symington in Austin and both jammed for 90 days before Angelini went into older friend Pennebaker, whom he hadn’t observed in ten years. Going right through many second guitarists, the music group continued to be a trio. 1986’s 1st documenting, a locally self-released EP, presented guests Jeff Pinkus from Butthole Surfers and Expenses Elm from Close friends of Dean Martinez. The full-length Nihilism Can be Nothing to Be concerned About was released by Palentine Information in July 2006 and features creation and acoustic guitar by Tag Deutrom of Melvins and combining by Thom Monahan (Pernice Bros, Metallic Jews).
